When a buyer is interested in purchasing your home, his realtor
or buyer's agent will present your realtor or listing agent with
an offer to buy your home. You as the seller can do one of three
things. You can either accept, reject, or counteroffer. Your listing
agent will help you with the negotiating process.
The negotiating terms may include the sales price, closing date,
date of actual possession, amount of closing costs if any that
will be paid, date of home inspection, etc.
Once an accepted contract exists between you and the buyer, your
realtor will help you with the final steps towards settlement or
closing. These steps are not limited to, but may include termite
inspections, repairs, pay-off loan information, etc.
Rest assured, that your listing agent will be there to assist
you every step of the way!
