Important Things to Remember!

Before you officially close on your new home, please remember:

1. Continue to pay your bills on time, especially your housing payments.
2. DO NOT apply for any new credit or open any new accounts.
3. DO NOT add debts to your present accounts.
4. DO NOT move your cash around. All funds must be verified for closing, including the source.
5. Document the source of large deposits with the copy of the paycheck or bonus check.
6. Document the asset you are selling with a copy of the check or bill of sale.
7. Talk to your lender first before your accept a money gift from relatives.
8. Save all of your bank statements and pay stubs from now until closing.
9. Keep all financial papers, such as your tax returns and settlement sheets from the past two years.
10. Continue to save as much as possible.
